There's Still Time for a New View in 2022

Market Update | August 2022

We know that it may seem months away, but if you are one of the people who are looking to move into a new home before the festive period, now is the best time to kickstart your journey, so don’t delay your plans!

The latest reports are showing market activity beginning to ease slightly, with demand and mortgage approvals seemingly returning to pre-pandemic levels, but this really isn’t something to worry about. All signs suggest that we are simply seeing the boom in activity, brought on by the pandemic, return to normal.

For many, the future may lie in taking advantage of the Help to Buy scheme before it comes to an end. For first-time buyers, you can secure your first home with a lower deposit and government assistance easing the pressure to get onto the housing ladder. However, with the scheme set to end in March 2023, you will have to get your applications in by October 2022 to be approved. So be sure to get in touch with us to not miss out on your chance!

I must, of course, also mention the elephant within the economy. The cost-of-living crisis is a growing concern and is set to affect many more people, and we understand that right now, more than ever, you may be wanting to protect your finances and re-set your budgets for upcoming holidays. That’s why we are offering expert advice to help you reorganise and find a mortgage that will benefit you and take away some of the pressure.

The current financial crisis is going to hit nobody harder than the vulnerable children in our communities, already living in unimaginable circumstances. That is why I’m pleased to announce that, from next month, we will be raising £1 million to help vulnerable children across the Southeast. For every property valuation we attend, we will be giving £100 to community programs to help fund local projects and support the vulnerable children in your community.

For now, there really is no time like the present. Get in touch to discuss how you can get moving before the festivities begin.

Until next month,

Aldo Sotgiu

Group Managing Director
