What Does ARLA Stand For?

ARLA is the abbreviation of the Association of Residential Letting Agents, the professional body which sets and regulates the standards and levels of professionalism of its members.

ARLA members are required to work within a robust Code of Practice, which covers the key stages in letting and managing a property. This includes compliance with such issues as handling and accounting for clients’ money; the mandatory ARLA Client Money Protection Bonding Scheme; Professional Indemnity Insurance; Dealing with Complaints and Disciplinary Procedures.

As a member:

  • We ensure that every one of our lettings offices operates with a minimum of one member of staff who holds a suitable industry qualification, recognised by the Association.
  • We regularly liaise with ARLA so that we are up-to-date with all the latest legislation and are fully conversant with their most current Code of Practice.
  • We undergo ongoing training and evaluation to ensure we meet ARLA’s high standards.

Together with complying to the ARLA codes of conduct, we also operate our own very high operating standards to ensure that we provide our landlords and tenants with the best level of service!

Further details about ARLA can be found on the ARLA website.
