Tenants' Deposit Scheme

Wards and Arun Lettings have opted to protect our tenants' deposits through The Dispute Service (TDS).

The Dispute Service is an independent, not-for-profit company, established in 2003 to resolve tenancy deposit disputes in the private rented sector. TDS adjudicators are independent decision-makers who reach their judgements on deposit disputes free from the influence, guidance or control of either the landlord or the agent.

When a tenancy comes to an end, although there is usually no disagreement about the return of the deposit, sometimes there is. At Arun Lettings we understand the stress and frustration that this can cause to both our landlords and tenants.

TDS provides a service should a dispute about the allocation of a deposit arise at the end of the tenancy. It is free for our tenants to use and will aim to supply an adjudicated impartial resolution to any possible dispute. TDS has achieved the UK Government Standard for Customer Service Excellence, and won Tenancy Deposit Service of the Year at the recent Property Drum B2B awards in 2012, so we believe your deposit is in safe hands when you choose to rent through us.
